Michael Pittman, current fullback of the Denver Bronco's but still a Tampa resident! Michael was signed as an unrestricted free agent in 2002 from the Arizona Cardinals who drafted him from Fresno State in the 1998 NFL Draft.
On January 26, 2003, Pittman played in Super Bowl XXXVII and rushed for 124 yards on 29 carries in Tampa Bay's 48-21 victory of the Oakland Raiders. Michael should have been the MVP but was robbed by trigger happy voting that named Dexter Jackson as MVP well before the game was over. On November 7, 2004, Pittman scored on a 78-yard touchdown run against the Kansas City Chiefs, the longest run in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history.
The Pittman family are pillars of the Tampa Bay community. Michael and Melissa have contributed many hours into charitable causes and in many cases, do so under the radar and without the fanfare. They truly do care about the community. I first met the Pittmans when the Buc's signed him in 2002. He was signed as a replacement for WarRic Dunn who the Buc's had lost to Atlanta Falcons via free agency. Replace him he did! Taking the Buc's on his back to the Superbowl that same season! I first sold them a home in Westchase. After the Superbowl, I sold that home and sold them their first home in Cheval. A few years later, they upgraded again in Cheval. They also own and operate a few Smoothie King franchises in the Bay area.
